According to the National statistics at least 20% of American women and 5 - 10% of American men have been sexually abused as children. And believe it or not family members make up to 30 - 50% of the perpetrators against girls and 10 - 20% of the perpetrators against boys. An alarming 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually assaulted by the age of 18. And these child abuse cases do not only affect the helpless victims they do eventually affect us all. A 1996 National Institute of Justice study found that child abuse in America costs the nation 23 billion a year.
