| The web site Childhelp.org has many stories how they have helped children. One of the stories is how a grandmother donated a teddy bear to a Childhelp facility. A staff member chose a six year old girl to be the recipient of the gift. A victim of child abuse, the girls face lit up when she saw the bear. Then fear came across her. "What do I have to do to get the bear?" she asked. The staff member assured her she did not have to do anything or ever give the bear back. The little girl was delighted and this was the beginning for her to learn trust. Stories such as this prove how Childhelp restores children's trust and brings much needed joy to these young victims of child abuse. |
