| A victim of child abuse may experience feelings of guilt, anger, doubt, shame and even feel unclean. They may wonder why they (or have lived in the past) live in such a horrible existence. Past or present child abuse victims may have trouble trusting or believing others. But know that help is available and it is never too late to begin a new life. Whether they seek advice and help from a friend, professional counselor or therapist, trusted teacher or school counselor, pastor, minister or God, know that child abuse does not define who they are and it is never too late to reclaim their life. The more information they have the better they will be. |
