Doctors around the globe are being encouraged to volunteer to help stop child abuse and child sexual abuse as well as neglect. There is a sense of emergency and agencies need all the help they can get to combat the world wide problem. Health professionals, law enforcement personnel and doctors are required by law in the United States to report if they see signs of child abuse or neglect but are being asked to take a harder look if they are just 'suspect' of maltreatment of a child. While no one wants to accuse an innocent parent of such crimes we need to protect the children every way we can.
