You read stories of child abuse everyday. Information on abuse and neglect are everywhere including Oprah Winfrey's show this week. One mother who was being abused and controlled by her husband escaped and left with the the children. But the question remains as to how the children are affected now and in the long run by having to live in such an atmosphere and watching their mother suffer? No doubt there is an alarming number of children living in abusive households everyday where they are subject to violence and neglect on a regular basis. This must affect them now and into adulthood and we will look at the statistics on this subject more.
