Life can sometimes get in our way and obfuscate reality. There are times when we feel that everything in life is just fine until we see pictures of child abuse in the news. It is inconceivable that the majority of us remain dormant in the face of all the child abuse images and child abuse stories filling many of the news sites on the internet. If there are people in this world that need our help, it must definitely be abused children. We all have time and we all have resources that we can give to help these helpless little children. The next time you are flipping through the news and see pictures of child abuse, please make sure to do something that day which can help an abused child somewhere in the world. It is of no use for us to feel bad about child abuse and neglect if right after seeing some of the worst injustices in the world, we continue along with our days as if the pictures of child abuse were mere art—something to evoke emotions but not evoke action. I am not saying that one has to personally save one of these children, but there are organizations that try and help them. So why not help the child abuse and neglect organization with some financial help or your time—they always need people to help. It does not matter how small the drop in the bucket, if we all put a drop in it, we can save a lot of children.
