child abuse stories, child abuse and neglect About a week ago, I featured child abuse and neglect news coming out of Jersey in the UK. A quick recap of that story was that staff members of the Haut de la Garenne children’s home were taking kids to a nearby decrepit WWII Nazi bunker to do heinous acts of abuse. For decades there have been child abuse stories coming out of this probably haunted children’s home.

A man named Austin Mitchell is asking the British mainland for an independent probe into the child abuse and neglect allegations. As I said before, child abuse stories have been coming out of this children’s hospital for decades but no major arrests have ever been made. Mitchell feels Jersey’s government is not trustworthy and an outside source needs to brought in.

As Mitchell commented about the Jersey government, “[there has been a] prevailing desire on the part of the Jersey elites to sweep scandal and abuse under the carpet to preserve their reputation (newsbbc.co.uk).”  Child abuse stories must be investigated properly. I hope that the British media can make this such an issue that a real investigation takes place.
