Lessons to Learn from Child Abuse Stories |

Most people are disgusted by child abuse stories. If you are a parent then chances are that tales of child abuse and neglect both sicken and terrify you, and they should. Just because you are a warm and loving parent who would rather die than dream of doing anything to harm your child, don’t assume your kid is safe from child abuse and neglect. Not all child abuse stories concern a minor being harmed at the hands of a parent, which is why you should be ultra cautious about who you allow to enter your child’s life. I personally worry about the children of single mothers. I know that single mothers can make great parents. However, I’m still concerned about lonely single moms not being cautious enough about their boyfriends. If you are a single mother on the dating scene, be very careful about introducing your dates to your child. Unfortunately some pedophiles deliberately target single mothers to get at their kids. Therefore if you are too hasty to introduce your child to the men that you meet, you could be putting him or her at risk. If you’re a single mother I advise extreme caution so that nobody ends up reading disturbing child abuse stories about your children.
